Blue Lot Enforcement and Restrictions

Parking enforcement in the Blue Lot near Gladstein Fieldhouse and Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall began Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Student (ST) permits and Campus Housing (CH) permits will not be honored in the Blue Lot sections D and F. ST and CH permits may only park in Section E. The sections are identified by red and white banners hanging from the light poles.

Game Day Parking

It's football season!

Game day parking permits for the lots near the stadium must be purchased through IU Athletics ticket office.

University parking permits are not valid in these lots on game days. All vehicles must be removed by 6 p.m. the day before the game. This includes the Student (ST) lots on Seventeenth Street, N. Fee Lane, N. Dunn Street, and N. SR 45 & E. SR 46.

Unless posted otherwise, Campus Housing (CH) parking lots are open to any vehicle from 5 p.m. on Fridays through 11 p.m. on Sundays.

Our hours are changing

Beginning June 1, 2022, the Parking Operations Office will open at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays. Our new weekly office hours will change to:

  • MondayTuesday and ThursdayFriday, 8 a.m.5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 9 a.m.5 p.m.

Poplars Garage Temporary Closing

The Poplars Garage is closed and scheduled to reopen in late September. EMP permit holders are encouraged to use any EMP of EMS surface lot or another parking garage. Paid parking for hourly visitors is available in the Henderson Garage.

Employee parking permits available for 2022-23

Employee parking permits for 2022–23 are now available for purchase. 2021-22 parking permits expire on June 30,2022.

To provide flexibility, permits may be purchased, exchanged, or returned at any time during the year.

Please remember that employee parking privileges are not transferable. The permit issued to you is for your use only. You may add up to five vehicles to your account and use the permit on any of them.

Parking rates remain unchanged for 2022-23. When you log in to the purchase portal, only the rate associated with your salary tier will be displayed.

If you are an employee who will retire in June or July, please contact us about renewing your permit at the retired or disabled retired rate.

Register your bicycle

All bicycles used by students, faculty, and staff on campus should be registered with our office and display a university bicycle permit. Bicycles only need to be registered once and not annually. The permit is $10.
