Parking restrictions for athletic events

Parking and restrictions for athletic events

Game Day Parking Restrictions

All vehicles must be removed from athletic parking lots by 6 p.m. on the evening before home football, men's basketball, and women's basketball games, unless permission to stay is granted. Any vehicle that remains without permission, or enters before the event, may be subject to ticketing and towing.

See information below for the locations and times where vehicles may be moved for specific events. Any vehicle remaining in the lots beyond the specified times may be ticketed and towed.

Where Permit Holders May Park

Football

Vehicles—with or without a permit—may park in the CH spaces every weekend from 5 p.m. Friday until 11 p.m. Sunday, unless posted otherwise.

Men's & Women's Basketball

Monday to Friday

Vehicles with a valid CH or ST permit may park without paying an event parking fee when entering these lots before 5 p.m.:

Purple Lot via Gates 9 and 10: OVERNIGHT PARKING AVAILABLE
White Lot via Gate 8: NO OVERNIGHT PARKING

All permit holders entering any athletic lot after 5 p.m. will be required to pay a parking fee for men's basketball games. Similarly, permit holders entering the Orange, Blue, and Green lots (gates 2, 4, 12, 13, 14) after 5 p.m. will be charged an event parking fee for women's basketball games.

Saturday and Sunday

Unless posted otherwise, from 5 p.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Sunday, vehicles with a valid CH or ST permit may remain parked in the White or Purple lots, or in any CH space.

An event parking fee for all permit holders will be applicable beginning three hours before the scheduled tip off of men's basketball games.

Hosted on campus

IU Athletic programs that host their home competitions on the IU Athletics campus, including the folllowing, have an abundance of free parking available adjacent to the program's home facility on the IU Athletics campus.

Hosted off campus

IU Athletic programs that host their home competitions at facilities away from the IU Athletics campus, including the following, have a limited amount of free parking available immediately adjacent to the program's home facility.

Men's and Women's Golf – The Pfau Golf Course
Rowing – Lake Lemon

There is a parking fee for Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving, and Water Polo at the Counsilman Billingsley Aquatics Center.
