Emergency Assistance
Motorist Assistance
Because accidents happen
If you lock your keys in your car, run out of gas, get a flat tire, or have dead battery while parked on university property, help is just one phone call away.
Monday through Friday, just call us at 812-855-9849 and ask for Motorist Assistance. Service is not provided on Saturdays, Sundays, or during university holidays.
IU students, faculty, staff, and visitors conducting legitimate business on campus are eligible for this service. The vehicle must be properly parked in a legitimate parking space on the IUB campus and, if required, display a valid parking permit. Service is free for qualifying vehicles up to three times per academic year and is $50 for each additional call.
Services may be available for a fee to valid IU permit holders when the vehicle is improperly parked and eligible to receive a parking citation. A $50 service charge will be issued in the form of a citation that can be paid online or in the Parking Office. This option is not available for services performed after 4 p.m.
