AFSCME covered employees

AFSCME Local 832 negotiated—as part of the total compensation package—the purchase of a EM-S parking permit for service staff employees represented by AFSCME. If you are a full-time appointed service staff employee, you are entitled to receive either a EM-S permit without charge, or a credit of the EM-S permit price toward the purchase of an EM-P permit.

This agreement provides one EM-S permit per employee. There is an extra charge for additional permits, including fleet permits. Your permit is for your use only and cannot be transferred to another person.

Effective July 1, 2025

As announced during the 2024 annual meeting with AFSCME, the university will no longer subsidize the cost of EM-S parking passes for new Service Maintenance (SM) employees hired after June 30, 2025.
