Because accidents happen

When you lock your keys in your car, run out of gas, or have a dead battery while parked on university property, help is just one phone call away. Call Parking Operations at 812-855-9849 and ask for Motorist Assistance. This service is free up to three times per academic year, and costs $40 for each additional call.

What services are provided?

Motorist Assistance provides basic services for vehicles parked on the IU Bloomington campus. Please note that services do not include towing or aid to vehicles in an off-campus location. Additionally, Motorist Assistance is not available to motorcycles or scooters.

The program assists with:

  • Dead batteries
  • Flat tires
  • Empty gas tanks
  • Locked keys in car

Who is eligible for assistance?

Motorist Assistance is available to IU students, staff, faculty, and visitors conducting legitimate business on the IU Bloomington campus. The vehicle must be legally parked in a valid campus parking space and, unless you are a visitor, must display a valid IU parking permit.
